Best Locations for Your Perfect Engagement Photography Session on the Treasure Coast and South Florida
As South Florida wedding photographers, we have found a variety of awesome locations for engagement photos for any vibe or vision. We love these beautiful spots so much, we decided to share our favorite places for couples looking for sessions with a range of landscapes, spaces, and feelings.
White City Park, Fort Pierce
It doesn’t get much more whimsical and romantic than White City Park. A sweet setting with beautiful foliage, trees, and (my personal favorite) hanging Spanish moss. With beautiful filtered light on a clear day, or romantically moody vibes on a cloudy one, we love every single session at White City. Add a bit of wind or even a gentle breeze and create romantic photos that will melt hearts.
Dubois Park, Jupiter
Dubois Park is one of our favorite places because of the wide variety of landscapes and backgrounds it offers in one location. Want to have a park with beautiful greenery, lines of palm trees for a tropical feel, the Jupiter Lighthouse in the background, and maybe end your session in the water of the lagoon or the beach? You can have it all! This is perfect for couples who want a variety of spaces and aesthetics.
The Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach
Hold your session at The Society of the Four Arts for a wide variety of beautiful garden spaces ranging from mediterranean inspired architecture to Japanese inspired sculptures. With floral paths, tropical foliage and magnificent fountains and ponds, The Four Arts location is a perfect space to create photos with a majestic vibe. With gardens and sculptures by renowned artists, there are endless opportunities for gorgeous photos of you and your beloved. The Society of the Four Arts does have a portrait photography fee and needs to be scheduled ahead of time.

Worth Avenue, Palm Beach
Worth Avenue, on Palm Beach Island, is a classically beautiful location for an engagement session. With beautiful opulent architecture, iconic landmarks, and beautifully reflective light, it makes for an incredible space for a session. There are lots of little alleyways and perfect pockets of light. With classic arches to romantic bougainvillea, and its iconic clock tower and beach, Worth Avenue is like a little taste of Europe for a breathtaking session.

House of Refuge, Stuart
For beach lovers- the beach at the House of Refuge, (also called Ross Witham Beach) is our favorite beach location as it has lots of cool rock formations to get creative with as well as another small beach with a dock on the intracoastal across the street. This is a perfect location for sunset beach photos for those who aren’t up for getting up for sunrise. We also enjoy this beach for stormy moody sessions.
Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens, Port St. Lucie
The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens has several of beautiful little pockets of various types of garden spaces- including orchid and cacti gardens, flower covered arches, and tons of greenery and textures. Coupled with the surrounding park- the gardens provide a bunch of different backdrops with plenty of Spanish moss-covered trees and open spaces for beautiful filtered light. It also has a walkway along the river for some fun shots. There is a fee associated with sessions at the Gardens and it changes periodically so we advise looking to their website for details.
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, Jupiter
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is an iconic monument for Jupiter locals. This gorgeous waterfront setting in the Jupiter Inlet has lush vegetation and clear blue water at high tide. Take romantically dramatic shots under the canopy of the enormous Ficus tree at the base of the steps leading to the lighthouse. The staff at the lighthouse scheduled private photography sessions with a fee in the morning before they open to the public. Fees ranging from $60 for a half hour and $100 for an hour to have the lighthouse park to yourselves for a private session. You can also take photos there under general admission but may have to be patient with visitors in the background of your shots.
Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Hobe Sound
For a session that is a bit off the beaten path, Jonathan Dickinson State Park has a variety of natural habitats including coastal sand hills and sand pine scrub (for that beautiful coast-meets-desert feel with white sand that makes for a dreamy natural light reflector), pine flatwoods (providing filtered light and an abundance of textured greenery), mangroves, and a riverfront on the Loxahatchee River. Explore the many miles of trails through the park on your session and get lost with each other enjoying the beautiful rugged landscape.

Allapattah Flats Natural Preserve, Palm City
If you are looking for the rustic feel of open fields and tall grass in golden sunlight, look no further than Allapattah Flats. It has acres off natural preserves and full of rustic off-the-beaten-path charm to explore as well as some partially wooded areas for beautiful intimate forest portraits. If you are as adventurous as us, make sure to bring some boots for your session, not just as a perfect accessory but also for practical reasons, as you may want to trek through some tall grass for the perfect shot. Yes, it’s worth it.
Do those two look familiar? ;)

Travel south for an unforgettably majestic and awe-inspiring session with luxurious European-inspired architecture and endless gardens to explore. There is literally nothing like Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. It is definitely a favorite location to create photos that fall more into the realm of creative fine art photography. Vizcaya’s magnificent architecture, grand staircases, enchanting hidden gardens, intimate gazebos, vine-covered archways, water-front terraces creates literally endless opportunities for beautiful romantic shots resembling a fairytale out of a storybook. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens does have a portrait-photography fee and needs to be scheduled ahead of time (we recommend a weekday session to avoid the larger crowds that the weekend brings).

Wherever you choose, enjoy your session!!!
Our best advice is to relax, have fun, be yourselves, and enjoy your session! Regardless of the location you choose, the best way you can ensure that you will have beautiful photos is to have fun and enjoy the time together with your fiancé- we promise you look most beautiful when you are happy!
